Mar 13, 2006 - Major update.

The entrance and welcome page has been streamlined. The login has been tucked away behind the welcome screen. This is to make it easier for new users to jump in. If the user is already logged in, the login screen leads straight to the ALBIS testing program. The registration screen has been removed; after entering the site, users are given the option of logging in or registering. Users can also overwrite old accounts by making a new one.

Multiple script support has been added for languages that do not use the Roman alphabet. For instance, when learning Japanese, users can opt to have words displayed in kanji/kana, instead of Roman characters, by clicking a small sign in the top-right corner of ALBIS. Ditto for Chinese, Greek, languages using the Cyrillic script, Hindi, and Semitic languages.

The default is still a display in Roman characters, though, except in certain instances (for Russians learning Serbian, for instance).
